Position: Counselor for the senior girls
Favorite Activities: Zumba and Dance
When not at camp: I'm a student at Binghamton University studying social work. I participate in the Evolution Dance Company and I'm on the board for Hillel. In the fall I'm interning with family planning in New York, which I'm super excited about!
What cool things have you done at camp this summer?
I'm going to be hosting the week one talent
show and also I'm currently planning the dance MDO, which is where the
same group of campers get to learn a dance for 4 days and preform it
after a show! Every week I run the RoShamBo tournament. RoShamBo is our
camp version of rock, paper, scissors. We have a tournament every week
and the final round is done in front of the whole camp at announcements.
It's definitely always a highlight of my week. Finally, I coordinate
Hawaiian Shirt Night every Thursday night and I'm extremely passionate
about it (over the past 7 years of camp I've accumulated 15 Hawaiian
What is your dream job? I would love to be a social worker for kids in the foster care system or work for planned parenthood. I love working with kids and I would like to make a difference in their lives and ensure that they have happy lives. I'm equally as passionate about women's healthcare and equal rights, so either of those jobs would be wonderful.
If your life was a TV show what would it be and why? I would have to say Parks and Recreation because I love awkward moments that are just too funny to be real, but they are. They happen to me often.
