How is being a Staff Assistant different from being a camper? Being a staffie is different from being a camper because I needed to find the clear line between fun and seriousness. Of course there are the obvious things like having an actual job to get done and taking on more responsibilities, but there are some things that aren't as straight forward that I had to figure out once I started the job. Maturity level is definitely a big one and being more conciensous always about how I'm presenting myself to the campers. I honestly love being a staffie though because you get to see your work directly impacting the kids' time at camp. The staffie orientation was super helpful because it helped us start thinking about these things that weren't as obvious, which allowed the transition to come more easily.

What's your favorite memory from camp, as a camper? My favorite camp memory happened on the last day of camp my duper year when I started a flash mob at Campstock. It was to I Gotta Feeling by the Black Eyed Peas. My friend told me that she would pack up my room for me if I sang it in front of the camp after our Duper Song. So, I started to sing the first line. Before I was even finished with that line the whole camp joined in and we all stood up and sang together.

If you could be a Disney princess who would you be? I would be Mulan because she defies societal standards that were placed on women in the movie. As a little girl that was always awesome to watch. Also, the songs in the movie are dope.
