Campus Kids Summer Camp
2017 Staff Interviews
Nickname: Blueberry, Zano,
Hometown: Berkeley Heights, NJ
Position: Head Counselor for the Tweener Boys and Co-Performing Arts Coordinator
Favorite Activities: As a camper- squash and ultimate...Now- the plays and dance!
When not at camp: I work for a company named Hillsboro doing consulting...that's all I'm allowed to say though.
If your life were a TV show, which one would it be?
Probably Rick and Morty because science rules
Why did you initially want to be a counselor, and now what's different between that and being a head counselor? Initially I wanted to be a counselor because I learned first hand as a camper the effect that a good counselor has on a kid. I wanted to continue to pass on that positivity to the campers at CK. Being a head counselor is different because I get to be around pretty much all of the kids in camp, instead of just being with one group of kids. I really like both, but it's awesome to get to know such a range of campers.
Do you have any family traditions? We listen to the Harry Potter audio books together on road trips.
What's your favorite bunk meeting?
I love the one where we go down to the lake, write a fault or insecurity
on a rock, and then throw it in. It's awesome because everyone in the
group does it and you actually feel the support of your bunk group
around you helping you overcome that insecurity.
